Unit 7 is based at the site of the former studio of Anthony Caro in Camden, within The Anthony Caro Centre. The Centre serves as a dedicated hub for the exhibition, storage, conservation, and loan of the works within Caro’s collection, providing a comprehensive resource for scholars, students, and the general public. Alongside the artworks, the Centre houses Anthony Caro’s extensive archive and library, offering access to documents, sketches, and correspondence that illuminate his artistic process and influence. As such, it serves as the principal platform for the study, appreciation, and dissemination of Caro’s achievements, celebrating his pivotal role in the development of modern and contemporary sculpture.

Within the site, the former studio of Rachel Whiteread was located, a key reference for contemporary sculpture in the world.
