ABOUT

Anthony Caro Centre Studio.jpeg

Founded by collector and artist duo Prahlad Bubbar and Shubha Taparia, Unit 7 London was established in 2018 as an extension of Prahlad Bubbar Gallery, with the vision of expanding its programme towards Modern and Contemporary art. Initially located in a large industrial warehouse in North London—historically the Bentley automobile factory—Unit 7 became known for presenting ambitious projects exploring contemporary practices and curating pivotal works from the twentieth century.

Over the years, Unit 7 has collaborated with leading curators such as Nicoletta Lambertucci (Tate Britain), Christine Takengny (Contemporary Art Society), among others, building a strong network within the international art community. Its exhibitions and projects have been featured in a wide range of notable publications, including RIBA Journal, FAD Magazine, Forbes, and Architect’s Journal, among many others.

Unit 7 has since opened its new premises within the Anthony Caro Centre in Camden, occupying the site of the former studio of Anthony Caro, one of Britain’s most influential sculptors.
